What the heck's up y'all, welcome to the new week! We got an album I slept on up in here - Take Care by BigXThaPlug. Now I ain't too familiar wit' son's work, but I've checked him out on a couple features an' son seems aight, like he know his head from his tail, nahmean? Aight, nuff said, let's get to this, b!!
Take Care - We startin' off kinda interestin'. This intro soundin' like a combo of funk n' country music. This dope. Son's spittin' some nice bars too, nuthin' blowin' me away but this a dope intro. Son's in his bag here n' I vibes wit' this. Tight beat too y'all.

Lost the Love - Dope sample startin' out here. Dang this track's deep n' well made too. Son made me feel sumthin' there wit' them lyrics he was spittin' an' that rhymin' on point too. This track's dope, son's talkin' 'bout his internal troubles an' doin' it so he don't sound like he whinin' or bein' a lil' bitch 'bout things. That's talent y'all - talkin' 'bout ya troubles in verse wit'out soundin' like you throwin' a fit.

Change Me - First verse pretty dope n' son's beat on point. It kinda the same subject matter as the previous track, still dope tho'. 2nd verse coulda been longer but it's aight. I ain't mad at this.

Leave Me Alone - I like the dark, sketchy kinda vibes son threw in this track. The intro bars is pretty dope. Son's talkin' kinda harsh here 'bout people who expectin' favours n' shit from him jus' cause they know him or sumthin'. First verse is aight. This hook the dopest part so far tho'. I don't like how son be rhymin' "mad, bad, sad, fad" here. That's kiddie rhymin'. Kinda messes up the vibe for me. Not that I be mad cause son ain't doin' summa them quintuple entendres n' rhymin' sextuple syllables n' shit, nah, it's just there's different rhymes y'all can be usin' 'stead of this simple Dr. Seuss kinda mess. Word.

Therapy Session - This one kinda done unique. It's a therapy session kinda, where son's playin' hisself an' a doctor, an' the doctor's askin' X how life be goin' for him. Son's got a mad tight flow on this joint, like you can hear him goin' locked in HARD here. Good rhymin' too, this one's goin' on the rotation, word.

Planting Seeds - The mixin' of the snare on this beat kinda annoyin' my ears. Sumthin' 'bout that sample jus' ain't makin' my eardrums happy. The lyrics n' flow n' all on this beat...DANG. Son was cookin' like heck on here!! This the typa rap song I'm hopin' for, this summa that good, hard spittin'. Son's way of sayin' the most basic typa shit jus' hittin' like bang, bang, bang. I don't like how son rhymin "hood", "good" ova n' ova, but the spittin' so hard, I'm kinda enjoyin' it. This track straight up fire y'all. Son got a wack beat but jus' went off on that y'all. Word!!

Words From WALLO627 - This thing a skit usin' the full sample (wit'out the snare, thank God). It's aight, jus' kinda servin' like a transition.
Law and Order - Huh. I kinda like where we goin' wit' this one. The intro dope, nice beat change. Ain't nuthin' too fancy but I like it. Son's flexin' here talkin' 'bout layin' down the law n' shit. It's aight, kinda weak on the 2nd part of the 2nd verse but overall I'm vibin' wit' it. It's aight.

Back on My BS - This kinda startin' out wit' a saloon music sample or sumthin'?? It kinda fades afta a bit into a beat that soundin' like it samplin' Alice Coltrane or sumthin' like that. Word is bond tho', this track kinda too short, it's aight, but I kinda wish it jus' weren't there cause I ain't quite seein' what it accomplishin' here.

2AM - Dang. We really in a period of time for summa them deep storytellin' typa songs to come back, from Kendrick's "The Heart Part 6" to Maxo Kream's "Big Hoe Me", n' now we got X's "2AM". This shit deep. I'mma let y'all play it to find out whatcha think 'bout it yaselves n' not spoil the endin', but on the real I vibes wit' it heavy. This thing DOPE. Son done wrote summa the dopest storytellin' typa stuff off this album, word. Don't sleep on this track yo.

Story of X - This startin' out pretty nice. Son's flowin' like usual n' it's dope. The verses is kinda average, but son's hook game tight. One thing this guy does is he kinda rambles, he jus' get into one rut n' kinda can't get out for a while. It's aight, but I ain't gonna be fast forwardin' for Track 11 everytime I puts this album on.

The Largest - This comin' out hard son. First verse pretty tight, the hook dope. We got a few lazy rhymes up in the verses but it's aight. Ish flowin' nicely an' son seems to be enjoyin' hisself on this, which counts sometimes.

Mmhmm - Son missed a chance at showin' off summa that hiphop history trivia in the hook. This kinda "The Largest" jus' recycled a bit. It's aight, son got some good bars he done threw in here. I vibes wit' the adlibs too. Kinda seemin' like he jus' splittin' up one big song into pieces tho', I was kinda hopin' for a change of pace, word, but I ain't too mad. Next song betta change it up tho'.

Rich Off Rap - Dang, son samplin' Rick James here. That goin' hard y'all! Lovin' the funky samples he got. This track dope. Son changed up his vibe offa the last two tracks, n' his samplin' game, or his DJ's, mad tight. The lyrics is dope too, he upped his rhyme game a bit here. This is dope y'all, I can dig it.

They Don't Know - This track all kindsa dope. Son rappin' hard over a beat witta dope sample n' we got all these rhymin' an' cleverness comin' outta son's mouth. It's dope y'all, more struggle rap, but struggle rap done right, like here, yo, that struggle rap's dope. Son got bars all ova the place here, mad dope outro y'all!

I really liked this project y'all. Let's tally things up:
196/280
70%
I vibed wit' this album heavy y'all. It kinda soundin' like Maxo Kream's album but wit' a lot more kinda...happy vibes I guess? Yea, that's it. A lotta the Maxo tracks is kinda darker than this, this summa that flexin', got nice jazzy beats, n' dope samplin'. Son's rhyme schemes is kinda basic in parts but I ain't too mad 'bout it. We do got a coupla songs I was feelin' were jus' filler, like "Mmhmm" which is kinda dope but jus' soundin' mad recycled. "Story of X" coulda gone a lil' harder too, jus' felt flat to me. But that don't me son's wack or anythin', cause YO, he AIN'T. Hopin' for a lot of improvement tho' by son's next album, no wonder this went Number One for a week.
