Youngboy NBA - I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders: REVIEW

Ayo, ayo, AYO, what the heck's up fam?! This ya boy Young Denzel back up in the frickin' buildin, an' y'all know what the heck this is. This that 100% legit review blog, where we be knockin' out the flakes an' the fakes an' keepin' them folk who got raps savoury like steak. This the essential blog y'all, hiphop wit'out this blog like summer wit'out Kool Aid yo! So we gonna jump into anotha album yet again. We got this Youngboy NBA release, fresh out the studio for y'all. Son callin' it "I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders". Word on the street is Youngboy's hot y'all. So let's jump in here, n' see what he got cookin'.

Versace Shades - This kinda remindin' me of Afrobeats. His rappin's aight but he jus' be doin' too much skattin' an' mumblin' on the ends of lines. He kinda soundin' like discount store Lil' Wayne, an' y'all know if Wayne's washed this kid's worse. It's aight, but not really vibin' wit' this, word.

Never Stopping - Son now soundin' like discount Yeat. This typa mess the same typa mess that we all been hearin' outta noisecore for the past decade y'all. Son got these lame adlibs where he be like "Flip my clip then— hit that bitch like— like heeeeeee, heeeeee". This ain't workin' out yo. This whole thing sound like Yeat, this ain't it either.

Catch Me - Son tryna get his Lil Wayne on here AGAIN. The beat on here sound like son done got a DJ who don't know how to do the breaks right, word. These drums goin' off in all the wrong places, b. The whole thing be soundin' like a Carter V throwaway. This thing a mess y'all. The one thing son IS doin' good at, is stayin' on topic. He can stay on topic for sure y'all.

Hope You Make It - Now it kinda seem like it time for son to get his Drizzy sangin' schtick on. This one actually kinda good in parts, son was spittin' bars at the first part of that first verse. There's too much dang sangin' tho'. The hook kinda catchy too, it's aight. Not anythin' I'mma come back to, but I don't dislike this one too much, word. The thing that coulda been better was the mixin'. Word, I jus' tuned out that awful mix n' paid attention to the lyrics on the replay, n' what son's spittin' kinda dope, but the beat jus'...wack. Not the best beat for him or anyone, yo.

Sneaking - Aight, this one anotha Lil Wayne imitation, n' the hook, I ain't feelin' that at all, but son actually comin' correct here a lil' bit. He coulda used summa that revisin' an' shit, but overall, he spittin' good bars. If son quits soundin' like Lil Wayne n' quits sangin' wit' all that autotune, he could be great, word.

Killa Season - Son clearly tryna spit here, but this one fallin' flat again. An' we gots our first really corny line worth mentionin'. Check this out y'all "Better not say nothin' 'bout me, this rod brings waves and that's a real tsunami". Y'all get the joke? Rod Wave? Waves? Yeah, son made a Rod Wave joke, haha. Nope.

This one's got an aight beat, it kinda soundin' like the "Sneaking" beat witta higher tempo. It's aight, but the lyrics is jus'...mid as heck y'all. His cough adlib's stupid. Yeah, that thing make me wanna tell this kid to run n' get hisself a drink of water.

(At this point durin' the typin' up of this review n' all, we jus' got word Youngboy NBA done gone n' got hisself thrown in the pen. Word is bond, I was thinkin' son's 2025 album was gonna be a banger. Guess that's out. Movin' on!!)

Get It - Son astarts off playactin' Lil Wayne again. "Bitch, you play with us, I bet the laws ain't gon' help ya" goes kinda different after what jus' happened 30 minutes ago. Son was real tryna spit here, but he jus' comes off damn borin'. First time I played this track, I was kinda gettin' distracted n' thinkin' 'bout otha stuff n' all that. Oh now son tryna sang now word? He on an aight song then he done gone n' started sangin'. Heck no. Beat carried son heavy here, word.

Missing Everything - Son's on his Yeat tip AGAIN. Seem like son ain't got a distinct "Youngboy NBA" settin', damn. This thing wack n' soft. Son tryna sound like he a crooner, like he be on Drizzy, n' Yeat, n' Afrobeats all rolled up in one y'all. That's wack, you ain't got no style to call you's own, nah, you out here takin' bits n' pieces of other brothas' styles, like you at Sticky's or sumthin', nahmean? That ain't how ya s'posed to be doin' son, word. This like when Lil Wayne tried being punk rock. Skip.

Beats - 3/10

Stealing Out the Trap - Son really on the Afrobeats tip here. Word is bond y'all, I'm expectin' Seyi Vibez or sumbody to come out n' start seranadin'. But this guy ain't no Seyi, he's an AMERICAN RAPPER in case y'all thought son was the next Frank Sinatra or sumthin'. The way he been croonin', son musta thought he was. Aight, son up in here tryna be all Seyi Vibez wit' it an' he here talkin' mess like "(niggaz) tryna steal my style". Son, you be the kid who gots the style of three or fo' OTHA brothas, n' you be compilin' em all n' feedin' ya fans that ish. I coulda got the lite version of this same album downloadin' "Loseyi Professor" again. Coulda gotten this same style by coppin' "Tha Carter V". This whole thing shouldn't be on no rap album son, word. The beat soundin' like son sampled the ringtone off a 90's cellphone too.

My Smoke - The beat soundin' like son recorded this whole thing at a Mexican flamenco concert, it so dang soft. SAMPLIN' flamenco is mad dope if y'all be knowin' how to flip that ish. This producer...he don't know nuthin' 'bout that.

The hook's mad annoyin', an' son's still parrotin' Lil Wayne. Skip. Kinda pointless track for real tho'.

Blood on My Soul - I don't know who the heck made this beat, but word is bond fam, they coulda done so much DOPENESS wit' that piano chord. That piano chord soundin' like sumthin' Prodigy woudla been throwin' up in a Mobb Deep track. Coulda been so hard now. Son soundin' like he Lil Wayne an' a bird. Hol' up, I had to rewind this thing. Son's out here dissin' EVERYBODY. He dissin' Lil Top n' Durk here for sure. Dang, this track soundin' like son so mad he jus' plain forgot how to rap n' started squawkin' at suckas he mad at. I was kinda takin' this serious y'all, then son came out sangin' this line like he Chappelle Roan "I'm in here with murderers, they gon' murder ya, yeahhhhhhhh...". Nah. That AIN'T how you spit that bar, b. You gotta sound like you actually mean that ish, ain't no room for sangin' the opps to sleep, word.

Son finally confirmed yeah he's a Lil Wayne clone. He got lines like "Bitch, I go harder, this young Carter, I'm with law and order!!" Yeah boy, you sure is wit' law n' order now, for a good few years ya wit' em, WORD!!

Beats - 7/10

Adapted - Son start out soundin' like he drinkin'. Prolly is. Son talkin' mess like "Eighteen bodies, I swear to God I love to get shit whacked" an' we wonderin' why he up in the pen. This song filler, all it does is tell us son's rich an' kinda shady. Skip.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 5/10

10/20

Ma, I Don't Cancel - Son out here on his Hannah Montana goin' like "Oooh, ooh, oooh, ooh, oooh" at the ends of bars. This the kiddy rap hour or sumthin' b? I miss the memo this was a sangin' contest? Y'all be trippin' if ya think that hook hard, it ain't. That hook SOFT AS HECK an' auditory cancer for ya ears. Skip.

Beats - 6/10

Lyrics - 3/10

My Love - Son got sum sample reversed here...it's aight so far. This kinda soundin' like he back on his Yeat tip AGAIN. This track ain't a love song y'all, it's a lust song. I don't know ANY chick who gonna be vibin' it this unless ya like Rick Ross an' be "slippin' molly all in her drink n' she ain't even know it". This track filler y'all.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 4/10

Cook Dope - At this point, son gotta be a parody of Lil Wayne. Son oughta quit rap n' jus' take up work as a Lil Wayne impersonator, showin' up at teen parties n' shit, cause he already doin' a helluva job wit' that schtick here. This whole track soundin' mad disorganised, like a whole big jumbalya of son's ideas. It ain't fun listenin' to, cause he movin' into Wayne, then Yeat, then a tiny bit of the real Youngboy kinda peeks out, but it's jus' a mess.

Beats - 4/10

Lyrics - 5/10

Tears of War - Son actually soundin' like hisself finally. Son rappin' kinda good till he get back on his R&B tip, but we got one line I kinda takin' issue wit'. Son raps "Go and tell them that I'm lyin', I got nineteen bodies". Back on "Adapted" son had 18 bodies. I don't know how we gained anotha body, maybe son knows he sang so bad n' off-key, at least one listener died cause of his album, word. This track kinda dope tho', an' the beat sound like whoever made this thing knew what the heck he was doin'. Anotha album wit' production like this an' son might actually come correct. Son's subject matta kinda deep, but it also kinda the "I'm 14 an' this is deep" type stuff. Still, he tryin, so I ain't gonna hate. This one got replay value to it, if ya ignore that hook n' cringy outro.

That was a kinda interestin' review y'all. The album was mostly bitten flows, an' also kinda mid here n' there, but there were a coupla bright spots, word. But yo, I ain't neva had no rapper get ARRESTED while I'm reviewin' his stuff. Anyhow, let's tally this up y'all.

Like I said y'all, this album kinda aight. Son's got his concept down but he ain't presentin' that ish right. Son bitin' too much Lil Wayne, too much Yeat, too much R&B, an' too much Afrobeats. Summa these tracks I don't know if I be listenin' to Youngboy or a crazier, younger, Wayne. Summa these tracks woulda fit nice on that weed plate called "Lyfestyle". Summa these tracks be soundin' like Seyi Vibez on a REALLY bad day. There ain't too much I liked or gonna coem back to, it all jus' the same song ova an' ova really. But yo, son's fans be eatin' good while they waitin' for him to get outta jail. Aight, wit; that I'm outta here. Peace!

Tyler the Creator: Chromakopia - REVIEW

Ayo, what up y'all, what's poppin'? Ya boy Denzel's in the building, n we got that fire-hot rundown on that mad hyped up Chromakopia album by ya man Tyler the Creator. Word, this album got the streets talkin' heavy b—Tyler had big rigs with his promo plastered on 'em rollin’ coast-to-coast, secret hotlines with cryptic voicemails, wild costume gigs, man did everything but start up a church sewing circle, an' believe me, if that got him some shine,  son woulda gone and done it too. But finally, we here at release day, and we gonna see if all that hype was worth it. If you’re a diehard Tyler fan, this that joint that's gon’ be rewritin' the game n takin' us to church.
